Now that I've learned that my hus...Don't feel bad. Now that I've learned that my husband will not be deployed, I have to finish his Christmas sweater on time. I just cast on, it's a Dale of Norway pattern (thin yarn, tiny needles and lots of colorwork). I'm also currently making 2 pairs of socks, and 2 lace shawls. I have several other things planned, but decided not to cast anything else on before something else was finished. That doesn't even mention the myriad of Christmas gifts I have yet to knit, including felted slippers for grandma, mittens for a friend, and some Halloween sock for my mom (preferrably done by Halloween). I think the Yarn Harlot was right when she wrote about calculating knitting hours per day to complete your holiday knitting. It's really only a problem when the hours per day needed to finish all items exceeds 24.
